A surprise arrival at Saint-Marcellin station. A 22-year-old young woman gave birth to a little boy this Sunday, January 12 while she was on board a TER. It was the train controller who called emergency services in the morning, around 8 a.m., as the mother-to-be was preparing to give birth.
Guided on the telephone by a fire brigade operator, he helped the young woman. When emergency services arrived at the Saint-Marcellin station (Isère), the mother and baby were in good health. They were both taken to the Romans-sur-Isère hospital center.
