Presented at Sundance, the romantic science fiction film Love Me with Kristen Stewart and Steven Yeun is revealed in a trailer.

In the future, humanity no longer exists. However, his machines remain, including a buoy and a satellite, which assume a human form and fall in love. The opportunity for them to question the very nature of human feelings that disappear forever. This is the original pitch of Love Mehalfway between Wall-e et Herdirected and written by Andrew and Sam Zuchero.

For their first feature film after a succession of short films, the duo managed to land a prestigious cast, consisting of Kristen Stewart in the role of the buoy and Steven Yeun in that of the satellite. Before his trip to Uncle Sam, its distributor Bleecker Street shared the trailer.

Love Me Tender

Avatars straight out of Mark Zuckerberg’s metaverse, Google searches, Youtube videos… It seems that the traces of humanity sought by the two artificial intelligences come directly from the gigantic digital waste dump of the 2020s. All that’s missing is a date in the Large Screen comments to complete the picture. Will the topic be covered with a critical or emotional angle? Difficult to say looking at this trailer, even if the romantic aspect seems on ne can be more sincere.

What appears perfectly, however, is the motif of the identity crisis gripping the two characters as they gradually learn to override the digital bell to experience true human sensation. An ideal playground for two now important actors on the American independent circuit.
