What will be the result of Star Wars at the cinema in 2025?
No need to pull out your app to reserve your cinema seat to see Star Wars on the big screen: no release is planned in 2025. Lucasfilm certainly has long-term cinematographic projects, but nothing is planned before May 2026. It will be The Mandalorian & Groguwhich will be the continuation of the series The Mandalorian.
New features on the series side Star Wars sur Disney+
Visions saison 3
After a first season in 2021 then a sequel in 2023, Visions returns in 2025 for a season 3. This was confirmed on November 20, 2024. Here again, it will be a question of offering a rereading of the myth Star Wars with the support of several animation studios. The stories proposed are not linked to the canon, but open up new perspectives.
Andor saison 2
Season 2 ofAndor will be broadcast from April 22, 2025. It will have 12 episodes, divided into four arcs of three episodes – each arc must describe a year. This will allow us to see more and more the transformation of young Cassian Andor into a spy for the Rebel Alliance. The series will end just before the events of Rogue One.
The Mandalorian saison 4 ?
We know that the production of season 4 of The Mandalorian is underway, but at this stage it is unknown whether a 2025 release is planned. This would make sense to prepare for the film's arrival a year later. Especially since then, we should gradually move towards the conclusion of the mandoversewith the film that will bring all the arcs together.
And the Star Wars video game releases in 2025?
As with films, no project currently in development seems advanced enough to expect a release in 2025.

2025 is also the year in which the Star Wars Celebration in Japan, from April 18 to 20, two years after the last edition organized in the United Kingdom.
Several stars of the license will be present, including Diego Luna (Cassian Andor in Andor), Mads Mikkelsen (Galen Erso dans Rogue One), Alan Tudyk (T-2DSO in Rogue One), Manny Jacinto (Qimir, in The Acolyte), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) or Temuera Morrison (Jango Fett and Boba Fett), among others.
These conventions are generally an opportunity for Disney and Lucasfilm to promote Star Wars, particularly to announce new projects or provide news of ongoing projects. We could therefore perhaps be entitled to a first teaser of The Mandalorian & Grogu or news about Star Wars on TV or in the cinema.
