The gold and silver of this competition were won, respectively, by the Emiratis Abdellah El Hamadi and Sayf El Kaabi.
The national team includes, in addition to Ed-Doghmi, runners El Houcine Sabahi and Idriss El Alouani, who are supervised by national coach Abdelaati Saadoune. The national delegation is led by the vice-president of the Royal Moroccan Cycling Federation (FRMC) and member of the executive committee of the Arab Cyclist Union, Mohammed Katim.
In addition to the Moroccan selection, these championships see the participation of the national teams of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Algeria, Tunisia, Bahrain and Egypt, host country.
Some 150 runners, administrative and technical executives take part in these championships.
Remember that the runners Achraf Ed-Doghmi and Rajae Chakir were crowned Arab champions during the 11th edition of these championships, also organized in Cairo in October 2022.
