Tom Holland is famous for many things, for enduring a Goya gala without understanding a single bit of Spanish during 'The Impossible', for improving Rihanna's performance Umbrellafor being Zendaya's boyfriend or, of course, for 'Spider-Man'. But in the latter, in terms of belonging to the MCU, there is one thing for which it is especially known. Tom Holland became so famous in the MCU for releasing spoilers that another great spoiler like Mark Ruffalo has not remained in the collective memory at the level of Holland. Consequently, at Marvel they began to give him the minimum information possible, reaching quite comical levels. For example, Holland confessed that when he filmed Tony Stark's funeral he thought he was at a wedding…
The truth is that Tom Holland should have redeemed himself for his fortitude in keeping the secrets of 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'. It is still impressive how only a few hours after the premiere the legendary appearances of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield came to light. But the truth is that Tom Holland has once again confessed something about his next and biggest project that has once again caused the internet to revive that clueless image that was so assigned to him in his early Marvel days.
Tom Holland will lead the next film by none other than Christopher Nolan. The English director, after winning all the awards there have been and won with 'Oppenheimer', has decided to assemble a luxury cast for his next project. Holland is joined by none other than Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron and yes, Zendaya. But morbid aside from seeing you together again on a press tour, there is no doubt that the project Nolan is preparing will become one of the most anticipated films.
The problem is not that we don't know much about the film other than its flowery cast, it's that its protagonist knows the same thing as us. On The Dish podcast, Holland confessed that he accepted the project with very little information from the director.
To be honest, I really don't know what it's about.
The truth is that being Nolan, many times you don't know it even after seeing the movie, perhaps it doesn't matter.
I'm super excited, but everything is being very quiet around the project. I met with Nolan and it was amazing. He vaguely explained to me, more or less, what it is. I am convinced that when it is ready it will announce what it is about.
The truth is that Christopher Nolan, although he does not play as much with surprises as Marvel, is also very jealous when it comes to the mystery of his future projects. It seems that for now it will not be Holland who tells us ahead of time.
Rafael is an expert in movies, series and video games. His thing is classic and auteur cinema, although he doesn't miss a Marvel movie or the hit of the moment on Netflix due to professional deformation. He also has his geeky side, as proven by his specialization in anime, k-pop and everything related to Asian culture.
By generation, sometimes he has to write about current musical hits, from Bizarrap to Blackpink. It even has its erotic side, but limited, unfortunately, to selecting the best of erotic series and movies. But he doesn't limit himself there, since he also likes to write about gastronomy, travel, humor and memes.
After 5 years writing for Fotogramas and Esquire, the truth is that he has already done a little bit of everything, from interviews with international stars to mobile phone presentations or tastings of oil, insects and, yes, if he's lucky, wine.
He trained in Audiovisual Communication at the University of Murcia. He then continued at the Carlos III University of Madrid with a Master's Degree in Research in Media. In addition to beginning a doctorate on sexual representation in auteur films (which he never finished), he also studied a Master's degree in film criticism, both at ECAM and at the Writers' School. Before, he cut his teeth writing on the Cinealacarbonara blog, continued in media such as Amanecemetropolis, Culturamas or Magnolia Magazine, and dedicated all his efforts to Mutaciones Magazine since its foundation.
He arrived at Hearst in 2018 and managed to carve out a niche for himself in the editorial offices of Fotogramas and Esquire, with which he continues to write about everything he likes and what they send him (often coincides). His good or bad taste (depending on how you look at it) also led him to get into the world of gastronomy and video games. Come on, he likes to entertain himself.
