Starring by Jenna Ortega (Merlin) y Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Death of a Unicorn It is presented as a rather peculiar proposal that will pit a group of people against a unicorn thirsty for revenge.
The first trailer presented by the studio introduces us to Rudd y Ortega playing a father and his teenage daughter during a road trip. The seemingly mundane situation takes a dark turn when they accidentally run over a unicorn-like creature. After this event, a wealthy family takes possession of what remains of the creature and discovers that its flesh, blood and, above all, its horn are endowed with supernatural healing properties. However, as the investigation progresses, the deadly consequences of their actions become apparent.
Death of a Unicorn It has a talented team both in front of and behind the cameras. In addition to Rudd y Ortegathe distribution is completed with Téa Leoni (Jurassic Park III), Will Poulter (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3), Anthony Carrigan (Barry), Sunita Mani (Glow) y Jessica Hynes (dying of laughter).
The film also marks the directorial debut of the screenwriter Alex Scharfman (Resurrection) and has Ari Aster of Midsummer as one of its producers. Its soundtrack was provided by the legendary John Carpenterdirector and composer of the horror classic Halloween (1978), who developed the film’s music with his son Cody Carpenter y Daniel Davies.
Death of a Unicorn will be released in theaters in the United States during the first half of 2025 by A24. We still do not know what its distribution will be in Latin American countries and Spain.
