If Netflix were a magician rather than a streaming service, it would definitely have decided to stick with what it has learned and what tricks work for its next show.

In any case, everything in the new trailer for the film The Electric Statetheir next big production, reminds us that we are on familiar ground here.
I, Russo
Directed by brothers Anthony and Joe Russo (Avengers : Infinity Wars et Endgame and soon Avengers : Doomsday et Secret Wars), The Electric State is inspired by the eponymous 2018 comics by Simon Stålenhag.
The Russo Brothers reclaimed the rights to the books in 2017, although announcing at the time that the adaptation would have to take serious liberties from the original material. And these new images confirm this note of intention.

Mixing science fiction, drama and comedy, the plot takes place in a retrofuturistic version of the 90s. It involves following Michelle (Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger Things), an orphaned teenager who travels the American West in search of her younger brother, accompanied by a robot that looks like a cartoon character, and an eccentric smuggler (Chris Pratt from Guardians of the Galaxy et Jurassic World).
To the rest of the cast, Ke Huy Quan (Loki), Stanley Tucci (Winchell) ou encore Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Saul) will be there.
The voice casting is also attractive, since to bring the friendly robots to life, we find Alan Tudyk, Woody Harrelson, Anthony Mackie, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate and Billy Bob Thornton.
The movie The Electric State arrives on Netflix on March 14, 2025.
