Five years after its resounding failure at the cinema, this science fiction film, conceived as a semi-reboot of a cult franchise, has landed a place among the most viewed programs in on Netflix.

Terminator : Dark Fate was among the six new products added to the catalog of Netflix on Saturday, December 15. Five years after its theatrical release, subscribers have a chance to find Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton starring in this science fiction film presented as a reboot of the cult franchise. Set in Mexico twenty-two years after the death of John Connor (Edward Furlong), Terminator : Dark Fate immerses us in the life of Dani Ramos, a young 21-year-old employee whose daily life is turned upside down by the appearance of a Rev-9 Terminator tasked with killing her. Fortunately for the young woman, she was able to count on Grace, a cybernetically augmented human soldier, who intervenes at the last minute and saves her life.

The film's disappointing box office results unfortunately ended any hopes of a sequel. James Cameron nevertheless revealed to the media Deadline what Terminator : Dark Fate could be the starting point for a new trilogy. “We spent several weeks laying the groundwork for the story and figuring out what kind of story we wanted to tell, so that we had a synopsis to pitch to Linda Hamilton. We rolled up our sleeves and came up with a story arc spread over three films, because there's a huge story to tell if we're lucky to make money with Dark Fate, we know exactly where to go with the next films.” he declared.
