Remember that when the trailer for Danny Boyle’s next film was unveiled on Tuesday, several moviegoers thought they recognized Cillian Murphy in the guise of a zombie who emerges in the middle of a field of flowers.
The deduction seemed logical insofar as the actorOppenheimer played the main role in the first part of the apocalyptic saga, 28 days later, released in 2002, and that the film’s producers recently hinted that he would be back in the sequel.
However, Angus Neill, a British art dealer who also works as a model, confirmed to the newspaper on Wednesday The Guardian that it was rather him who played this character. He added that director Danny Boyle approached him saying he had had him in mind from the start for the role.

The case is therefore closed, for the moment. It remains to be seen whether Cillian Murphy will indeed have a role in 28 years later. We will know more when the film is released next June.
