A new actress accustomed to horror films joins the already well-stocked cast of Scream 7 alongside Neve Campbell.
Every day there is a new casting announcement for Scream 7. Lately, the poster for the next opus in the saga continues to fill up with more or less well-known names. It must be said that there is a lot to do to filling in the holes, after Spyglass Entertainment landed Melissa Barrera as a messythat Jenna Ortega has left the ship, and that David Arquette… is unlikely to return.
On this date, the return of Neve Campbell in the historic role of Sidney has already been confirmed, as well as that of Patrick Dempsey who played the heroine’s love interest in Scream 3. Let’s add to that the arrival of fresh flesh in the persons of Isabel May, Celeste O’Connor and Asa Germann. But the future film, directed by one of the original pillars of the franchise initiated by Wes Craven, Kevin Williamson, has just acquireda new actress, and not the least.

The new kid in the Ghostface franchise is Mckenna Gracean actress who is only 18 years old but has proven herself for a long time. Having started filming at just 6 years old, the actress has a number of films and series to her credit, such as Amityville: The Awakening, Me, Tonya, Ready Player One, Captain Marvel, Annabelle 3, Malignant, Ghostbusters: The Ice Menace, The Handmaid’s Tale…to cite just these examples.
Her filmography denoting a certain penchant for the genre, Mckenna Grace should feel like a fish in water in the universe of Scream. His repeatedly proven talent will be a definite asset for the film. There remains one question, the one we ask ourselves every time a new character enters the saga: Will Mckenna Grace have any chance of being Ghostface? At this point, no information has been revealed about the nature of his character, whose importance or relationship with Sidney is unknown.
While new faces are piling up in the casting, negotiations are still ongoing concerning a potential return of Courteney Coxand Matthew Lilliard (player of one of the killers of the very first Scream) would still be praying to the slasher gods to return to the saga.
He recently declared, speaking to his co-star Drew Barrymore in The Drew Barrymore Showthat he felt that his character was not necessarily dead (after having been stabbed several times, then crushed and electrocuted by a television), and thatil “would love” return to the franchise. But for now, it’s time for the young people!
There is still a lot to wait to discover the entire cast (and the identity of Ghostface) on the screens, since the exit of Scream 7 is only announced for February 25, 2026.
