“I love you my love” Giulia keeps repeating to her son Colin, 14 years old. She watches him with anxiety, because she knows his fragility: he is a stutterer. When he starts school at a new school, the teenager is internally paralyzed. Fortunately, Mr. Devarseau arrives, a warm French teacher, who will push him to conquer his fears and come out of his isolation. How ? By going on stage with his friends to play Cyrano. Colin reveals himself. His best friend also accomplishes this double path, towards others and towards himself, by asserting his non-binary identity.

“Le Panache” would be a very good movie. At the cinema, we wait more.

Lack of relief

A teacher and the theater to save lives: the memory of the “Circle of Dead Poets” looms large. Jennifer Devoldère (“Wise Man”) signs a sensitive film, generously interpreted by Joachim Arseguel, José Garcia, Aure Atika. But the staging is terribly lacking in relief! “Le Panache” would be a very good TV movie. At the cinema, we wait more.

“The Panache”, by Jennifer Devoldere. With Joachim Arseguel, José Garcia, Aure Atika. Duration: 1 hour 33 minutes. In theaters Wednesday November 20
