Kad Merad has a new project that is surprising to say the least: sheep breeding. The 60-year-old actor, who is currently starring in Claude Lelouch’s latest feature film, Eventuallyindulged in some confidences during his appearance on the show As an aside on Canal+. He notably revealed that he is seriously considering starting a sheep farm around his second home.

“I want to do breeding. I prepare, I take my time, I find out a lot from real operators, real breeders, before doing anything. Because I assure you: it’s a beautiful world,” he confided.

A flock of sheep

A few weeks earlier, the National Federation of Farmers’ Unions (FNSEA) revealed on its Facebook page that the star wanted to install a flock of sheep near his residence. At that time, the actor’s team indicated that he preferred to “remain discreet” regarding this project.

Moreover, Claude Lelouch’s latest film, in theaters since Wednesday, was filmed in Burgundy, more specifically in the department of Saône-et- where the actor’s second home is located.

Hidden and peaceful cocoon

Just like the actor, his partner Julia Vignali fell under the spell of the region which is close to by train. “I saw that it was accessible from Paris, by TGV, in just an hour and twenty minutes. It’s ideal, because I didn’t want the stress of long car journeys,” explained the host of the Best pastry chef during an interview with Gala.

Julia Vignali, who got married to Kad Merad in Saône-et-Loire in November 2022, also spoke about the renovations of the building. “It’s the first time I’ve done such extensive work, but it’s very interesting to bring this house back to life, to rediscover an old bread oven, to respect the stones, the framework,” she shared, before to declare: “It’s no coincidence that we chose Saône-et-Loire and not Saint-Tropez! “.
