CINEMA – Bridget Jones is looking for love again. The most famous British bachelorette will return to the big screen for a fourth film in 2025, and the trailer was revealed this Tuesday, November 12. But she risks breaking the hearts of fans, because the one who is now a mother of two children is a widow.

The previous part of the saga, entitled Bridget Jones Baby, was released in 2016. It ended with the birth of her first child, William, reconciliation with Mark Darcy (played by Colin Firth) and their marriage. Except that the trailer for the fourth part reveals that her husband has died.

The story of Crazy about him begins four years after the death of Mark Darcy and Bridget Jones, still played by Renée Zellweger, is looking for love again. Several suitors present themselves to her: her ex Daniel Cleaver, but also her children’s teacher and a young man of 20, Roxster. You can watch the trailer in the video at the top of the article.

Hugh Grant returns

Like the other opuses in the saga, the plot follows the plot of Helen Fielding’s successful novels. This new film will be the adaptation of the third book in the saga, Bridget Jones : Very lazyreleased in 2013.

On the casting side, Emma Thompson makes her return but also and above all Hugh Grant, who reprises his role. Roxster is played by Leo Woodall (The White Lotus) and the teacher is played by Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave). As for the production, it was entrusted to Michael Morris (To Leslie). The film will be released on February 12, 2025, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
