Almost 20 years after the release of Batman Begins, Bruce Wayne’s famous Tumbler is for sale. To celebrate its 85th anniversary, Warner Bros studios have just announced the production of 10 batmobiles.

After the fiasco of Batman & Robin, Warner Bros. is relaunching the Batman film project with Christopher Nolan as director and Christian Bale in the role of the Dark Knight. In the summer of 2005, the success, popular and critical, was undeniable. Batman is back! And with him, his famous Batmobile. For the first time, Batman’s vehicle is massive and powerful. With a tank look. It has a name: the Tumbler. And it is of course Lucius Fox who is at the origin of its design.

A Batmobile with a Corvette engine

If fans have undoubtedly dreamed of obtaining this vehicle for a long time, know that it is now possible. Warner Bros announces production of 10 copieslife-size and functional. The machine is based on a steel frame. The bodywork is carbon and fiberglass. The engine is the same as a Corvette. He develops a power of 525 horsepower while the Batmobile still weighs 2.5 tonnes. As for the copy visible in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, the car will be delivered in black. On the other hand, don’t expect to take advantage of the reactor at the back. It’s a fake put there for style. And don’t expect to turn the car into a Batthe motorcycle seen in The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. This is not planned. And as one could imagine, the price of the Tumbler is not cheap. It will be sold for 2.75 million euros!
