After Monaco, the United States, the Élysée Palace, and the chaotic preparation for Christmas, in this fifth part, entitled “God Save the Tuche”, the craziest family in France crosses the Channel and arrives in London, ready to sow their joyful chaos in the lands of the monarchy. In addition to the return of Jean-Paul Rouve, Isabelle Nanty, Claire Nadeau and the other members of the original cast, actor Bernard Menez makes an unexpected entry into the Tuche family, playing… King Charles III. This surprise appearance adds a touch of madness to the film, while Jean-Paul Rouve tries his hand at directing for the first time in this saga. Because behind the scenes, this new part is distinguished by a change of director and producer. Producer Richard Grandpierre and Olivier Baroux, who had directed the previous parts, are not associated with this sequel, due to artistic and financial disagreements. With more than 14 million tickets sold in total, “Les Tuche” has become one of the most popular comedies in France, the third part having even attracted 5.7 million spectators in 2018. The release of the fourth episode in 2021 , in a difficult health context, had been a little less successful, accumulating “only” 2.4 million entries.
