Lot-et-Garonne, land of cinema. There are many filmings, notably thanks to the work of BAT 47 (filming reception office). Short and feature films often find the department as their setting. And there have been a few horror films. On the occasion of Halloween 2024, here is our selection.

The cloud

Filmed in 2016 in Caubeyresthis feature film tells the story of a woman who launches into the production of edible grasshoppers. But its breeding is becoming uncontrollable and the species shows a particular appetite.

Balam balam

Currently filming at Pinel Hauterive and around Agenthis film tells the story of a cow farm decimated by a mysterious illness.

Just as impressive, several short films were shot in Lot-et-Garonne.

The wart

A 10-year-old girl lives with a wart on her nose. At night, she spies on her parents… strange things happen. A spell will be cast. The setting of this film is none other than the Buzet castle.

Mental things

Filmed in Houeillès, it is the story of a woman who has lived as a recluse in her home since that she became electrosensitive. His only link with the outside world is mental, through his out-of-body experiences.

Teddy

This film was not shot in Lot-et-Garonne but was made by two directors from here: the Boukherma brothers. A horror comedy whose central character is a 19-year-old misfit who grew up in a remote village.

A full moon night, the young man gets bitten by a mysterious beast and begins to undergo frightening changes.
