Breton director Bruno Collet is shooting his next stop-motion animated film in a studio, out of sight. In October 2024, a whole team is working to bring the project to life.

From the outside, nothing distinguishes the premises of the studio Nobody is perfect from any other building in this residential area of Rennes. And yet, in several sealed rooms, an entire team has been working for several weeks on the production of Bruno Collet’s next stop-motion short film.

Time travel to Chernobyl

Le Breton thought up “Atomic tour”, a 13-minute film on “dark tourism”, in which a YouTuber decides to travel to Chernobyl to create content. The young man is quickly confronted with the ghosts of the place and little by little understands the tragedy which led to the desertification of the place.

Operators, animator, decorators… Staging the scenario designed by Bruno Collet required the work of numerous trades. “It’s great to have dreamed of something and for this universe to be created for real. A team of 30 people makes my dreams come true. Well… I hope it remains a dream, not a nightmare”he smiles.
