There is a new Scourge (Juggernaut in the original version) in the Marvel universe. Called Kid Juggernaut, the character has just entered the Marvel Comics universe. Discover this new character.
Who is the Scourge?
Cain Marko is a supervillain from the Marvel universe created in 1965 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. This extremely powerful character has almost insurmountable physical strength. Almost as strong as Hulk, once it starts, nothing and no one can stop it. In the comics, The Scourge is the half-brother of Charles Xavier. He regularly works with Magneto and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. His helmet protects him against Professor Xavier’s psychic attacks.
In the cinema, the character appeared twice. A first time in 2006 under the guise of Vinnie Jones In X-Men: The Last Standthen entirely in CGI in Deadpool 2 (2018), dubbed by David Leitch in person.
Kid Juggernaut
A brand new Scourge has just entered the Marvel Comics universe. Justin Jinor more precisely Jin Joon Sungis a 17-year-old Canadian introduced into Marvel’s Voices 100 by Anthony Oliviera. This new hero must face the powerful old one God Cyttorak. In fact, like Cain Marko before him, Justin Jin finds a shard of Cyttorak that gives him the powers of the Scourge. Justin Jin then takes the pseudonym of Kid Juggernaut In Kid Juggernaut: Marvel’s Voices from Emily Kim:
After a shard of Cyttorak’s Crimson Gem falls into the hands of Justin Jin, a young Korean-Canadian student and baker, he is now cursed to become a human juggernaut. But while the demon Cyttorak usually seeks out champions full of rage, Justin is a kind and gentle soul. Which will clearly change Cyttorak’s plans.
Cain Marko managed to break his connection with Cyttorak in 2020 in Juggernaut. However, he retained his powers. Cain Marko even made amends by joining the X-Men during the Krakoan event, fighting for the nation of Krakoa. However, Cain murdered Justin Jin’s grandfather to claim the power of the Scourge.
Justin Jin, for his part, decided to do good with his new powers. Kid Juggernaut works for good, and has already had the approval of the X-Men and the Avengers. However, Kid Juggernaut will soon have to face the vengeful force of Cyttorak, this vicious demonic entity, famous for possessing human souls with its Crimson Gem. Indeed, the Gem of Cyttorak confers to the one who possesses it a almost unlimited strength and invulnerability, often transforming its wielder into a fearsome brute force.
