Deadpool 2: pause at 1 hour and 13 minutes and take a good look at this shirt – Cinema News

If you freeze frame “Deadpool 2” at precisely 1 hour and 13 minutes, you’ll see a detail that few people recognized.

The most irreverent of Marvel heroes also knows how to pay homage when he wants! While waiting for his third adventure which will arrive in theaters this summer, you may be like us rewatching the Deadpool films, and be attentive when watching the second episode, because this detail could easily escape you.

A very 80s shirt

Tired of Marvel? The studio executives seem to have heard you

But if you pause at precisely 1 hour 13 minutes and 43 seconds of the movie, you can see the shirt worn by Ryan Reynolds/Wade Wilson on his couch, while he has his baby legs growing back. A shirt with a rather unusual look, which perhaps reminds you of something…

Twentieth Century Fox

If you’re a fan of 80s cinema, you’ve probably recognized this shirt with yellow and pink flowers against a background of green palm trees: it’s that of the character Choco from The Goonies!

The nod is twofold, since Josh Brolin is in the cast of Deadpool 2 and he played Brand, the man in the red bandana, in The Goonies. In this second Wade Wilson adventure, Brolin lends his features to Cable, a superhero who in the comics becomes the leader of the New Mutants team (which also had their film).

In 2018, when Deadpool 2 was released, Brolin starred in another Marvel film, Avengers: Infinity War, in which he played the big bad Thanos in his quest for the Infinity Stones in order to eradicate half of the universe with a snap of your fingers. Produced in performance capture, this role has become one of the most iconic in cinema.

Towards a Deadpool 3

On July 24, Deadpool returns to the cinema, this time in the company of Wolverine, for a new adventure. Hugh Jackman once again takes on the role of Logan and steps up his game for an official storyline still kept largely secret, despite a first trailer:
