Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban celebrates its 20th anniversary at Warner Studio in London

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Beyond the fact that the information makes us seriously old, it also promises to immerse us a little further into the world of the little wizard. From May 1, 2024 until September 4, Potterheads will be able to explore the Divination Room for the very first time. Appearing for the first time in the third part of the saga, the location plays a key role in the plotwith the appearance of the Sinistros and prophetic predictions from Professor Trelawney.

Tea and Sinistros

Imagined by the films’ production designer Stephenie McMillan, and by production designer Stuart Craig, the divination room is inspired by the traditional tea rooms of India and the Middle East. A cozy and eccentric atmosphere, in keeping with the character of the character portrayed on screen by Emma Thompson.

To complete it all, these are several hundred old cups which have been found in markets and auction houses. The one that predicts Harry’s fate at the start of the third film is a particularly rare model, made in Japan in the 19th century, Warner said in a press release. The kind of anecdotes that will make you shine in society if you meet other fans of the saga.

Two classrooms for the price of one

This year, divination is not the only subject taught at Hogwarts. Professor Remus Lupin’s classroom is also making its debut at Warner Studios, with a new space resembling a cabinet of curiosities, housing several collections of archaeological objects, decorated with skulls and creatures placed in bell jars. Visitors will also be able to find the iconic Boggart wardrobe which will train Harry all year against the Dementors of Azakaban, and even try the Riddikulus spell.

Among the other places offered by the event, we also recommend a stop in Harry’s room at the Leaky Cauldron, where the original furniture from the film and an unleashed Book of Monsters await. THE Magicobus will not be outdone, with a complete cross-section of the setting, capable of moving as in the film to bring to the spectators the experience lived by Harry in the frenzy of the London streets.
