The French comedy “L’heureuse electe” hits the mark in its first week in theaters in . The film takes the lead in the ranking from September 25 to October 1 with 839 admissions. “The Count of Monte Cristo” (705 votes – 27,977 in 14 weeks) retains second place in the weekly charts, while the former leader “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” (670 tickets sold – 2,718 in three weeks) drops to third rank. “The Seeds of the Wild Fig Tree” (521 spectators – 489 previously) ranks fourth ahead of “The Wire”. “Megalopolis” enters in sixth place with 291 entries including 114 in original version.

The other new products in the running appear far down the hierarchy. “Weekend in Taipei” and “Motherland” share jump seat number sixteen with 154 entries each. Much further down, “Live, die, reborn”, “Emmanuelle”, “Viet And Nam” and “Riverboom” brought together 114, 57, 49 and 32 moviegoers respectively.

In the end, 6,662 admissions (5,038 at Cinéville, 1,624 at Katorza) were recorded during the week, an increase of approximately 25% compared to the tally from September 18 to 24.
