This cinema near Toulouse opens a Screen X room, with films projected 270° around the viewer

It’s a new tool that was supposed to bring thrills to spectators. From Wednesday October 2, 2024, the Kinéopolis cinema in Fenouillet, near Toulousewill offer Screen X technology in one of its rooms.

But what exactly is Screen X technology? The films are in fact broadcast 270° around the spectators, thanks to the use of two projectors located on either side of the main screen.

During certain scenes in the films, the images are therefore extended on the side walls of the theater (on average for 20 to 30% of the duration of the film).

Premier film : Joker: madness for two

A process that places the viewer at the heart of the action. In Fenouillet, this is the highly anticipated film Joker: madness for two which will inaugurate the concept, from this Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

Will come next Venom : the last chancefrom October 30.

4 euros more expensive

Please note, you will have to pay 4 euros more than the base price to be able to benefit from Screen X technology.
