No aperitif concerts but a musical evening
With the closure of the Cinematheque for work, Cinespaña cannot take over the courtyard of the institution on rue du Taur for its traditional village and the usual entertainment such as the early evening aperitif-concerts. “It was too expensive to develop and secure the Crous and Ensav courtyard to set up our village there,” regrets Alba Paz Roig, co-director of Cinespaña with Loïc Diaz Ronda. “So there won’t be any this year. Next year, for the thirty years, we will try to do better.”
However, a musical and festive evening is planned for Saturday October 5, from 6 p.m. to midnight, in the Ensav-Crous courtyard. On the program, gypsy jazz, folk, swing in Spanish and French songs with the group Rue des Tamaris, followed by the Afro and Latin DJ set “Bamako-Bogota”.
In addition, “Before” will be organized from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in partner bars: Boca (rue Peyrolières), Deseo (rue des Lois) and Tchin (rue Saint-Bernard) in order to meet the guests. On the same principle, “After” events will take place after 9 p.m. at Boca and Dada (rue Honoré-Serres).
