Fiasco (April 30)

What is this series about?

Raphaël Valande begins filming his first feature film: an adventure spanning the ages from prehistory to the landings, including the Vikings… to pay tribute to the heroic life of his resistant grandmother. But quickly, the problems accumulate and the filming gradually turns into a nightmare. And for good reason: someone from the team is trying to sabotage his film from the inside…

Why does this hype us up?

For its casting which brings together the elite of French cinema. A group of friends led by the François Civil/Pierre Niney duo and brought together by Igor Gotesman, to whom we already owe Five and the comedy Family Business on Netflix. Fiasco promises to be in the same vein: funny, rhythmic, with high-level guests. Presented in preview at the Canneséries Festival, it has already made hundreds of spectators laugh.

A man, a real one (May 2)

An Atlanta real estate tycoon, Charlie Croker, faces sudden bankruptcy. He tries to defend his empire and his interests against those who try to profit from his disgrace.

Why does this hype us up?

Because it is written by David E. Kelley, the man to whom we owe Big Little Lies, Ally McBeal, La Défense Lincoln, Boston Public and even Dr Doogie (but yes, with the young Neil Patrick Harris!) . The showrunner signs his new collaboration with the streaming platform with this drama with an attractive cast: Jeff Daniels, Lucy Liu, Diane Lan and Bill Camp are the headliners.

Barbarian (May 2)

A critical success in the United States in 2022, Barbare made a big splash on the other side of the Atlantic. This low-budget horror film, notably starring Bill Skarsgård (the clown from It), was released here directly on Disney+, before joining the Netflix catalog on May 2.

Mother of the Bride (May 9)

What is this film about?

Emma, ​​Lana’s daughter, returns from abroad and drops a bomb: she is getting married in Thailand and in a month! Lana learns that the man who won Emma’s heart is the son of the man who broke hers years ago.

Why does this hype us up?
