But beyond the simple trailer with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman reprising their iconic roles, many “easter eggs” are hidden in several scenes, have you noticed them? As a reminder, the film is expected to be released in theaters on July 24, 2024.

Wolverine’s costume
We’ve been talking about it for a while, but until now we haven’t seen the original Wolverine costume (the one from the Comics) in a film, it’s now a done deal!
The Wolverine from another world?
It seems that the Wolverine of this film is not the one we know from previous Fox films, but another Wolverine from the multiverse and a dead world.
The 20th Century Fox logo
A few years ago, the X-Men belonged to Fox before the takeover in December 2017 (finalized in March 2019) by Disney for some 71.3 billion dollars. This little reference with the logo destroyed where Deadpool and Wolverine will face each other is therefore not insignificant.
The sequel to the Logan movie?
From the start of the trailer, we see a tired Logan, if only by his inability to directly extend his claws. It’s a common gag in comics. Deadpool’s reflection also makes reference to it: “Typical of the Wolverines after 40 years“. Does this also mean that Deadpool has already been around other Wolverines?
Copper Heads
The name “Copper Heads” mentioned in the background refers to three Marvel Comics characters. But the one we’re interested in is Copperhead (Davis Lawfers), an enemy of Captain America and member of the Serpent Society terrorist group. It could also be that this organization appears in the next Captain America opus.
Liefeld’s Just Feet
It’s a fun homage and nod to longtime Deadpool fans. Rob Liefeld being the creator of the Comics Deadpool, famous for not knowing how to draw his characters’ feet correctly!
Cassandra Nova
This is not a hidden element, but here is the villain of the story: Cassandra Nova. She is the twin of Charles Xavier. It is a “Mummudrai”, a Shi-ar word meaning “anti-self”. Every living being has one on the astral plane. Cassandra was Charles’ Mummudrai. She has all the same powers as Xavier. Additionally, she can heal faster than a human, she possesses telekinesis, can pass through solid matter, create mutations in people with latent mutant abilities, and she can also manipulate people’s DNA. Yes, that’s a lot!
Giant head of Ant Man
There’s a close-up of Ant Man’s giant head, and that’s where Nova’s base is located. Ant-Man is indeed dead in the film, in fact if you remember the last Logan film, there is the skeleton and the costume of a giant Ant Man in the desert. On this level, we also discover many characters who appeared in the X-Men films and who are making a comeback: Lady Deathstrike, Azazel, Starfish, The Russian or even Glob Herman?
Dogpool
Dogpool is a real comic book character. A member of the Deadpool Corps, Dogpool comes from Earth-103173. He was created in 2010 and has the same powers as Deadpool.
Alioth
In this trailer, we again find Alioth, the energy monster from He Who Remains present in season 1 of Loki, Guardian of the End Times. Remember, it is responsible for killing the variants that are sent by the TVA. The organization will therefore have an important role to play in this opus, since another character, Mr Paradox, is present. He is a member of the TVA who is responsible for monitoring the time continuum.
Video game scene
The beginning of the trailer also offers a reference to the upcoming release of the video game Marvel’s Wolverine on PS5, by identically reproducing a scene from the trailer!
Red Skull’s car
Appearing for the first time in Captain America: The First Avenger in 2011, the Red Skull’s car makes a remarkable appearance, despite some modifications!
Hulk’s bed
This bed was present on the planet Sakaar in Thor: Ragnarok. Here it seems to belong to Nova in the giant head of Ant Man…
A Doctor Strange portal?
It hasn’t escaped your attention, the two superheroes jump into a fairly well-known portal that Dr. Strange and the wizards of Kamar-Taj are the only ones who can create. The multiverse is expected to play a pretty big role in this new Marvel movie. This could for example be linked to the plot of the film, which would involve a trip to the past to prevent the death of Charles Xavier?
Mad Max in a Marvel?
Even if the scene reminds you of Mad Max, it’s not. On this tank, we would visibly find a mutant from the X-Men saga: Pyro, whose real name is John Allerdyce. The latter was one of the students at Professor X’s school in the first X-Men films.
An unexpected cameo
Wrexham AFC football club star Ollie Palmer makes a brief appearance at the very beginning of this trailer. It’s a personal nod from Ryan Reynolds, owner of this club along with Rob McElhenney!
