After the success of SEGPA, Hakim Bougheraba will adapt another successful web series for the cinema: “Under the nuts”. Release planned for cinemas at the end of 2024.

After the surprise success of the comedies Les Segpa (730,552 spectators in France) and Les Segpa au ski (1.36 million spectators), adapted from the web series created by Hakim and Ichem Bougheraba in 2016, director Hakim Bougheraba will adapt for the cinema another successful web series: Under the Nuts. After the final year, it’s time for the prison world!

What is Under Nuts?

With 1 million subscribers on YouTube and nearly 150 million views, the series launched in April 2019 by Ichem Bougheraba (nicknamed Ichem Boogy) and Nicolas Delort is a great success. The team will therefore make a feature film.

Directed by Hakim Bougheraba and co-written with his brothers Ali, Ichem & Redouane Bougheraba, the comedy tells the daily life of Sami (Ichem Bougheraba) and Nada (Arriles Amrani). If the first proclaims himself as the “biggest thug on the promenade”, the second discovers the prison world for the first time. But in prison, no one is who they say they are, and it won’t be long before the masks fall.

Taxi in “Under Nuts”?

The action comedy is led by Ichem Bougheraba, Arriles Amrani, Redouane Bougheraba, Lucille Guillaume, Brahim Bouhlel and Bernard Farcy, who plays Commissioner Gibert in the Marseille saga Taxi. Increasingly rare on screen, the 75-year-old actor will therefore make his comeback on screen in another film shot in Marseille. Will he resume his role as police officer? Suspense…

Co-produced by Hyper Focal Production and Kallouche Cinéma, Under nuts is currently filming in Marseille, the feature film is announced in our cinemas for December 18, 2024.
