Ai Ogura tested the Aprilia RS-GP during the Barcelona test. A first day in MotoGP where he was able to note the points on which he will have to work.
Shy for this first day? “Of course I was nervous when I saw all these drivers on track and all the cameras. But it was manageable. »
The biggest differences with Moto2: “Maybe the throttle to keep the bike calm, to accelerate in a good way, that was the hardest part for me. It's a little different. The speed difference: “It was okay. I expected to be more surprised than that, but after two or three laps the speed was already ok. Steel brakes aren't really any different from carbon ones. Let's just say it's not really a problem for me. »
Physical condition: “I did 86 laps and my longest run was about ten laps, I think. On this circuit it was fine, I had no problems with my body. But I haven't done 20 laps in a row (in MotoGP), so we'll see. It's okay for this test, but this winter I'm going to work a little harder than last year. »
