Aleix Espargarówho piloted the Honda RC213V as a test pilot for HRC. After a final season with Apriliathe Catalan is embarking on a new phase of his career, already making a promising mark within the Japanese team.
During testing, Aleix set a time of 1'40.007, a time which, although 1.4 seconds off his best lap in Q2 on theApriliarepresents a solid performance for a first handling. He finished in 14th position, becoming the second best Honda behind Johann Zarco
(10th). The rhythm and regularity displayed by
Espargaro were praised by the team, particularly for its ability to provide precise and impartial analysis.
For this special occasion, Aleix sported a white jumpsuit adorned with the Japanese flag, symbolizing his commitment to HRC. His motorcycle, entirely black and devoid of logos, testified to the confidentiality surrounding this test, due to his still active contract with Aprilia until the end of the year.
