MotoGP Barcelona J1, Jack Miller (KTM/11): “The economic situation at KTM? I only have one more errand to do”

Jack Miller was quite fast on this first day in Barcelona. Of course, he was unable to qualify directly in Q2, but finished 11th in Practice, which is still better than his teammate Brad Binder. However, Pedro Acosta was ahead of him and will participate in the final qualifying session, even though he benefited from the same equipment. For his last with KTM before joining Pramac-Yamaha, Jack Miller wants to do well… without carrying the financial problems of his current employer on his back.

The Australian, a few hours before his return to Pramac, started this Solidarity Grand Prix rather well.
« The package worked well, but we will try to improve for tomorrow. Little by little, we are getting closer to the best. Recently, we have always been in the game, except in Malaysia. The problem is we don't know how to handle the new rear tire. The others have managed to limit the vibrations that bother everyone, but we suffer more from it and it is impossible for us to get the most out of the rear rubber, regardless of the compound » he affirmed in the columns of GPOne.

While the Austrian firm thought it could benefit from cooler conditions to limit tire wear, the plan was canceled. « Usually the problem here is overheating, especially at the rear on the right side. With this climate, we expected more front grip, less wear, but this is not the case. We still have a lot of damage » he added, without solution.

Asked about KTM's financial situation, Jack Miller gave only an evasive response. After all, he only has one race left under the orange awning.
“The economic situation of the brand? After all, I only have one more weekend to go…” he concluded laconically.
