Finally, the predicted storm headed towards Valencia and Malaga, thus sparing Catalonia and the MotoGP Solidarity Barcelona Grand Prix which concludes the 2024 season.
After a very gloomy Wednesday which allowed us to search for the last traces of what was once Derbi, the legendary Spanish brand (we will come back to that), the sun came to illuminate the Barcelona–Catalunya circuit on this Thursday of preparations, before the final clashes which will determine in particular the final hierarchy of the premier category of GPs.
In this regard, the general opinion of the paddock is that
Jorge Martin will try to “fold” the championship from the Sprint on Saturday, even if it means having a Grand Prix worthy of a grocer on Sunday in the event of failure.
We will see, just as we will see if the rumors circulating in Montmelo concerning the future of MotoGP are confirmed at all, in which case we will let you know. But in the meantime, here is a small, unpretentious photo gallery of some of the visual elements that caught our attention today.
