Dorna Sports press release: The Barcelona-Catalunya circuit will host the final round of 2024 in a special weekend at the Barcelona Solidarity Motul Grand Prix. With the title at stake, the spectacle is guaranteed on a sporting level, as is the positive impact for the Valencian Community, since MotoGP unites to help those in need.
Here are some of the initiatives planned during this exceptional #RacingForValencia weekend.
Places
Tickets for the Solidarity GP are now on sale HERE and more than 30,000 have already been sold in the first 24 hours! The Barcelona track was chosen to host the final event of the year largely to allow fans who were planning to travel to Valencia to still witness the denouement of the season. Valencia will refund the tickets in full or offer to keep them for 2025.
Part of the revenue generated by the Solidarity GP places will go directly to Valencia's relief funds. So, simply being in Barcelona to witness a historic sporting event is also a direct contribution to the reconstruction efforts of the neighboring Valencia region.
Auctions
Three auctions will take place over the weekend: two on site and one online. If you are at the circuit, go to the fanzone on Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. to attend.
MotoGP™ riders will take the stage, accompanied by Legends and VIPs, to auction off incredible items donated by the entire paddock.
Fans from all over the world can also participate in the online auction, where absolutely unique pieces will be offered. Among them, it is impossible not to mention the Moto3™ Championship-winning bike of Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing).
More details about the online auction, including the full list of items and start and end dates, will be available soon. Fans who wish to attend the auction on site are welcome regardless of which GP ticket they have for the weekend.
Dons
Can't participate in the auction but still want to make your contribution? We will also produce a special #RacingForValencia t-shirt, the profits from which will go directly to relief operations. Many people in the paddock have already started donating.
Revenue from our Solidarity GP initiatives, which range from ticket sales to funds raised through auctions and donations, will be centralized in a MotoGP™-specific donation system thanks to our collaboration with CaixaBank.
All MotoGP™ funds will then be donated to La Cruz Roja (Red Cross), which works on the ground in the Valencia region, with the aim of helping the towns closest to the circuit.
To donate now, visit THIS LINK, and stay tuned for more information on the items being auctioned to benefit Valencia ahead of the Barcelona Motul Solidarity Grand Prix.
