In a press release published this Friday, November 1, the organizers of the MotoGP championship indicate that they stand alongside the Valencian Community following the devastating floods which affected the region. “Our hearts are with all those who have been lost and those who have lost so much.

Consequently and with the agreement of the local authorities, a decision was taken to cancel the Valencia GP which was to be contested on November 16 and 17, 2024. This Grand Prix is ​​the last of the MotoGP season where the new World champion must be crowned. A new venue and dates to replace this decisive Grand Prix in the world title race will be announced as soon as confirmed.

The vast majority of pilots including Italian Pecco Bagnaiadouble reigning World champion but also his challenger the Spaniard Jorge Martin currently leading the championship had clearly expressed themselves against the holding of this Valencia Grand Prix.
