The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced that the first of Rabi’ al-Awwal 1446 AH will fall on the day after tomorrow, Thursday, and the Prophet’s birthday will fall on Rabi’ al-Awwal 12, 1446 AH, corresponding to September 16, 2024 AD.
The ministry stated, in a statement, that it observed the crescent of Rabi’ al-Awwal 1446 AH, after sunset on Tuesday, Safar 29, 1446 AH, corresponding to September 3, 2024 AD, and it was confirmed that it was not sighted.

The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs informs citizens that it observed the crescent moon of Rabi’ al-Awwal 1446 AH, after sunset on Tuesday, Safar 29, 1446 AH, corresponding to September 3, 2024 AD.
She contacted all the Islamic Affairs delegates in the Kingdom, and the Royal Armed Forces units participating in observing the crescent, and they all confirmed to her that it had not been sighted.
Accordingly, the month of Safar will have completed thirty days, and the first of Rabi’ al-Awwal will be Thursday, September 5, 2024 AD, and the Prophet’s birthday will be Monday, Rabi’ al-Awwal 12, 1446 AH, corresponding to September 16, 2024 AD.
