Bayern Munich’s talent Adam Aznou has been included in the Moroccan national team’s plans before the international break scheduled for next September.
The North African team will face Gabon and Lesotho in the qualifiers for the upcoming African Cup of Nations, which will be held between December 21 and January 18.
The 18-year-old left-back is expected to have enough playing time in the two qualifiers to settle the issue of his football nationality, especially since he can still represent Spain at the international level.
The Moroccan talent joined the Bavarian club in 2022 on a free transfer after the end of his contract with Barcelona.
Adam Aznou refused to sign a new contract with the Catalan team for financial reasons due to his dissatisfaction with the financial privileges offered to him by the club’s management.
The newcomer to the “Atlas Lions” repeated what Argentine star Lionel Messi did in 2021, when he refused to extend his contract with Barcelona for financial reasons, preferring to move to Paris Saint-Germain.
It is noteworthy that the Moroccan player joined the “Barca” youth team in 2019, coming from the amateur team Damm, from which several stars emerged, including Alex Vidal, Keita Balde Diao, Christian Tello and Isaac Cuenca.
