Highlights
– the Kirk depression moves away quickly from the beginning of the morning, it’s the end of the bad weather
– Be careful in areas flooded in places from the center west to the Paris basin
– Clear cooling, but return of clearing periods interspersed with showers
This morning
The weather is cooler everywhere with significantly less wind, except north of the Seine and on the borders of the Benelux where a cloudy sky is setting in: sleet, sleet, gusts of wind and a cooler atmosphere.
Elsewhere, particularly in the west, it is calm with nice clearings and more showers in the Basque country. To the south-east, the mistral brings back the sun but stormy showers affect the west of Corsica.
Minimum temperatures falling with a cool feeling: 11 to 13°C in general with the return of snow showers from 1900 m over the Alps.
This afternoon
The winds continue to weaken except around the Mediterranean and especially in Corsica (west wind reaching 100 km/h on Balagne Corsica). Over a northeast quarter, including Ile-de-France, showers fall interspersed with clearings, sometimes with sleet and a few thunderclaps. These showers will not worsen the situation in terms of flooding, being too scattered.
Maximum temperatures, falling especially in the south, are seasonal and range from 13 to 16°C in general, another 21 to 24°C around the Big Blue, but with wind.
Soirée
Fairly general freshness but improvement. The showers eventually stop. The wind persists in the Mediterranean, especially in Corsica, until the middle of the night.
Further trend
A general improvement will be present on Friday. But the time of week-end looks very mixed, less beautiful than initially expected. For next week, we are already monitoring a new risk of rainy episodes in the south-east.
