Director Ahmed Bou Arwa announced a short while ago the death of Moroccan actress Naima Lamshriqi after a distinguished artistic career during which she participated in many films and series in roles that entered the hearts of Moroccan audiences.
Ahmed Bouarwa wrote a post in which he said: “The sister, the companion, the truthful, the friend, the beloved, the beloved, and the resident of all Moroccan hearts, the artist Naima Lamshriqi, has passed away. The late Naima Al-Mashriqi showed a distinguished talent in theater through several plays with the most famous theater groups in the Kingdom, such as Al-Maamoura Group, Basateen, Al-Ans Theater, and the Moroccan Radio and Television Band.
During the Arab Radio Festival in Cairo in 1998, she won the award for best vocal performance in the series “Amina.”
The late artist Naima Al-Mashriqi appeared, starting in 1964, on television through programs and series, where she played the first female role in the “Ram Dam Family” series. Her star also shone in cinema by participating in more than 20 Italian or French feature films, as well as Many Moroccan short and feature films, such as “Blood Wedding,” “Faten,” “The Battle of the Three Kings,” “Lalla Habibi,” or “Swallow Alley.”
