Borussia Dortmund and the German soccer champions Bayer Leverkusen are hoping for another success in the Champions League. After the 3-0 opening win in Bruges, BVB welcomes Scottish double winners Celtic Glasgow on Tuesday (9 p.m./Amazon Prime). Leverkusen is also playing at home at the same time and faces AC Milan.

Coach Nuri Sahin’s team goes into the game as favorites, but also with great respect. Finally, Celtic stormed into second place in the table of the reformed European premier class with a 5-1 win against Bratislava. A victory over the so-called “Bhoys” could give BVB courage for the repeat of the last Champions League final in two weeks at Real Madrid.

Double winners Leverkusen had won 4-0 at Feyenoord Rotterdam at the start. But the Italian vice-champion is anything but a lightweight. It is the first time that Leverkusen will face the traditional club in the Champions League. However, the Werkself’s record against Italian clubs is very mixed. Leverkusen has lost most of its duels with Serie A clubs so far.
