In a dangerous escalation of the situation in the Middle East, Israel declared a state of emergency on Tuesday evening after Iran launched more than 100 missiles towards several areas inside Israel, targeting Tel Aviv and other cities.

According to official reports, these attacks prompted the Israeli authorities to direct civilians to immediately go to shelters as a preventive measure, while sirens sounded in large parts of Israel.

Dozens of explosions were heard in the sky of Jerusalem, according to what journalists from Agence -Presse reported, which increased the state of chaos and panic among the residents.

In an official statement, the Israeli army confirmed that the Iranian attack caused a state of maximum alert among the ranks of the armed forces.

The army spokesman said: “We are facing a serious threat from Iran, and our forces are in a state of maximum readiness to deal with any additional developments.”

This escalation came after American warnings of an imminent Iranian attack.

The Iranian news agency “IRNA” confirmed in a brief statement that “Iran launched a missile attack on Tel Aviv” without providing further details.

On the other hand, the Israeli Home Front Command issued urgent instructions to civilians on how to behave under these emergency circumstances, calling on everyone to remain in safe places until further notice.

In a new development, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that the missile attack on Israel came “in response to the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah and Ismail Haniyeh in particular,” warning of “launching overwhelming attacks” if Israel responds to the attack.

For its part, the Iranian Students News Agency published video clips showing missiles flying in the sky of Tehran, while eyewitnesses from Reuters reported that they saw missiles crossing over Jordan, indicating the extent of the danger of this escalation to the entire region.

This attack comes at a time when the Middle East is witnessing a dangerous escalation in tensions between Iran and Israel, with Israeli officials indicating that the size and number of missiles launched reflects an unprecedented escalation.
