Michel Odon, municipal employee since 1986, is retiring. Thursday, December 19, he lived his last moments at the town hall of La Force. He will be officially retired on 1is January 2025.
Born in April 1964, Michel Odon first worked as a family helper on the farm, before gaining extensive experience as a mechanic in a large cannery in Bergerac. He joined the technical team of the commune of La Force in 1986 – Jean-Paul Chaume was then mayor of the village – as a public road maintenance worker (OEVP).
He was established in 1987. He quickly made his mark and showed great abilities in resolving everyday problems, under the guidance of the roadmenders of the time who trained him. We owe them the development of the courtyard in front of the Lestrade room and many other projects such as the laying of sidewalks in particular. Michel Odon has had three mayors: Jean-Paul Chaume in his early days, Armand Zaccaron from 2001 and Serge Pradier since 2020. He was appointed principal supervisor in 2010.
Medal presentation
“Discreet, helpful, courteous, Michel has valuable knowledge of the town and knows every corner, down to the smallest plot of wood. The successive deputies, Serge Blanchard, Christian Gibanel and Alain Chanut, called on his municipal knowledge,” underlined Serge Pradier, current mayor, before presenting him with the municipal medal.
During this ceremony, Sandrine Bonnamy, senior administrative assistant first class, received the regional, departmental and municipal medal of honor, silver level, for twenty years of service within the territorial civil service. Born in Caen, in Calvados, Sandrine Bonnamy started in 2002 at the town hall of Sannerville in the same department, before leaving her native Normandy to join Périgord. She began with a contractual job at the town hall of Gardonne, then joined that of La Force in 2008.
A buffet continued this ceremony where many memories were exchanged.
