Nearly 150 firefighters were mobilized Tuesday morning for a fire which spread to the roof of a building located opposite Saint-Lazare station (8th arrondissement of Paris.
A worker was slightly injured.
The roof of a building catches fire opposite Saint-Lazare station, in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. The firefighters were called this Tuesday morning around 9 a.m. for a disaster which broke out at the top of a seven-story building overlooking the Court of Rome, where work was in progress, the Brigade told TF1/LCI of the Paris fire brigade (BSPP).
According to an initial assessment, one person was slightly injured, a worker having suffered burns. Occupants were evacuated and 150 firefighters were deployed to extinguish the fire, said the BSPP.

According to an inventory communicated before 1 p.m., the fire was almost extinguished and the risk of spread was completely contained.
“Intervention in progress in #Paris08, near Saint-Lazare station. Avoid the area and do not unnecessarily congest the emergency lines. Residents, be careful”, had posted the BSPP on his X account, while a security perimeter had been set up.
