A permanent squatter, a drunken evening, a sword… A man died during an evening during which none of the protagonists should have expected such a tragic outcome. Two suspects were presented to an investigating judge this Sunday evening with a view to their indictment after a man was killed with a saber and a second seriously injured in (Essonne), the Evry prosecutor's office said in the AFP.

A judicial investigation was opened for acts of intentional homicide and attempted intentional homicide for the first, suspected of having carried out the saber blows, and aggravated violence for the second.

Alcoholic expedition

The events took place during the night from Friday to Saturday when three men forced their way into a house occupied by a squatter. These men are employees of a business manager who recently purchased this home. The boss went to the pavilion on Friday afternoon to ask the son of the former owners to leave the premises he occupied illegally without winning his case.

During the evening, the employer organized a drunken meal in his company's offices, after which three of his employees, in a drunken state, decided to exfiltrate the squatter manu militari. They drove to the scene, broke down the front door and broke down the door to the occupant's bedroom before hitting him while he was sleeping, injuring his face.

The latter then grabbed a standard saber and struck two of his attackers in the abdomen. The first died on the spot, the second, seriously injured, managed to escape with difficulty, while the third, unharmed, escaped and called the police.

Business leader released

When they arrived on the scene, agents from the Anti-Crime Brigade noted the death of one of the attackers. The seriously injured man was treated by firefighters and transported, in a coma, to the Kremlin-Bicêtre hospital (Val-de-). His vital prognosis was still in jeopardy on Sunday evening, the prosecution said.

The attacker who was not hit and the occupant of the accommodation, both aged around forty, were taken into police custody, as was the business manager. The latter's custody was lifted without any charges being brought against him, the public prosecutor said.

The prosecution requested a committal warrant for the man suspected of homicide and attempted homicide and placement under judicial supervision for the employee suspected of intentional violence.
