His start to the season
Arriving at this club was a big change for me, far from England, with new people, a new language. It took me a while to adjust. Today I have playing time, the coach trusts me and I want to prove that I am good enough to be on the pitch.
Entry into the Coupe de France
We can’t wait. Of course, we are favorites in this match and we have to do the job. So far the season hasn’t gone the way we wanted, but I feel like we’re moving in the right direction. I am well aware of the importance of this competition. I know the club won it in 2019, that the supporters are proud of it, and that it was an incredible match. We want to do the same thing. If we play football, it is to win matches and trophies. We want to fight for this title, the club and the fans deserve it.
The difficulty of away matches
It was complicated. We are not the same team when we play away. The new coach arrived, put different things in place. We are in the middle of a transition. Sunday’s match will be a great opportunity to start winning away.
The difference in level with Bordeaux
I think all the matches are similar. When you’re a kid, no matter the opponent, you want to win. It’s ingrained in us. We are professionals, we have to do the work. We are going to go there to play 100% and win this match.
