GSC Game World has released a massive patch for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. It fixes dozens of issues present in the game and increases the rewards of certain side quests.

In our STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl review we praised the game for its massive open world, storytelling, and seamless integration with previous games in the franchise. However, it was riddled with many bugs, which made the experience far from optimal. GSC Game World has released a colossal update (no, seriously, it’s about 100GB) that fixes a lot of them.

Major update 1.1 for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl claims to fix “over 1,800 issues” in the game. It would be pointless to list them all, and GSC Game World agrees with this sentiment. The update also fixes AI behavior issues, including a particularly annoying one where enemies would appear behind you. The NPCs roaming the open world are now more diverse and belong to multiple factions.

Additionally, major patch 1.1 for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl also increases rewards for side quests. This, combined with the astronomical repair costs of weapons/armor, was a pain point at launch, and it’s good to see it’s been adjusted. In addition, the Gauss rifle has received a good damage improvement. Finally, the problem of infinite money is gone.
