Zepp Health has released a new update for the Amazfit Balance smartwatch. Version 3.25.5.5 weighs 8.53 MB and has been reported to by various users on Reddit by several users on Reddit. Although the changelog is long, this is actually a relatively minor update.

The only addition to the release notes is a line indicating that the Zepp team changed the step counting algorithm in certain situations. This follows recent user reports that following OTA update 8 or version 3.25.5.3, the step count was incorrect. For example, one owner of the smartwatch said that washing your hands adds up to 40 steps. Although the changelog indicates that this latest version fixes the issue, several users report that they did not notice a difference after the update.

Other new features and improvements listed in the release notes are the same as for version 3.25.5.3. They include a new assessment of the quality of strength training, automatic start of running and walking activities, as well as three new training modes: Mountain Skiing, Dog Walking and Snow Shoveling. Below is the full changelog. If you want to install the version 3.25.5.3 update, you can do so through the Zepp app by going to Profile > My Devices > Amazfit Balance > System Update. The Amazfit Balance smartwatch is currently sold on Amazon US for $147.60.
