During the night of Thursday, December 19, a fire broke out on the bales of straw and hay stored next to the Saint-Cricq roundabout, in Auch. On the morning of this Friday, a new intervention by firefighters took place after the fire started again.
The remains of the “wall” erected by the Rural Coordination caught fire. Around 11:30 p.m. on the night of Thursday to Friday, December 20, the flames consumed the bales of straw piled up near the Saint-Cricq roundabout, in Auch. On site, two national police vehicles and a fire engine brought the fire, which originated from two sources, under control.
Last Thursday, December 12, 579 bales of straw and hay were installed by farmers from the Gers Rural Coordination. The latter wanted, through this action, to “thank the government for its inefficiency”.

The next morning, the Department had deployed around twenty territorial park employees. A week later, the fire consumed part of the boots. This Friday morning, smoke was still visible approaching the roundabout from the dual carriageway towards Toulouse.
