Loud explosions rang out in Kyiv this Friday morning, after a ballistic missile alert. Debris from Russian missiles fell in the Holosiiv, Solomianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi and Dniprovskyi districts of the Ukrainian capital after being intercepted by Ukrainian air defenses.

“There are fires on the roofs of buildings, cars are also burning. The main heating pipe in Holosiiv district has also been damaged”said Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

According to the latest information, one person was killed and at least seven were injured.

The Kyiv city military administration said Russian forces launched a combined missile attack. According to initial reports, Kinjal air-to-ground hypersonic missiles launched from a MiG-31K fighter jet and Iskander/KN-23 ballistic missiles were used.

Kyiv was also attacked by drones, all of which were shot down, according to the Ukrainian military.

Russian troops also shelled the city of Kherson with heavy artillery, residential buildings were damaged. According to the latest information, one person was killed and six others were injured.

On Friday evening, five people were injured following a Russian missile attack on Kryvyi Rih, apartment buildings were damaged.
