The structure was rewarded with a regional trophy for its innovative actions in favor of autonomy.

Alongside the “Compagnie du Bout du Nez” (Tarn) and the “Les Outils en mains” association (), the Why Pas Moi association recently won the regional Trophy for social and solidarity initiative, as part of a competition organized by AG2R La Mondiale. His prize was awarded to him on December 13 in , marking the culmination of a rigorous series of selection tests.

“There were 21 candidate structures at the start,” confides Marianne Pradère, project manager within the association. “Then, there were seven of us at the time of the defense tests, in Balma, last November, and finally three finalists.” At each stage, Quelle Pas Moi obtained unanimous approval from the jury.

“A reward for the work accomplished”

“This prize rewards the work we do in terms of the autonomy of people who are visually impaired or blind, or who suffer from a dys disorder,” continues Marianne Pradère.

“This work is based on workshop activities – cooking, IT for example – which allow people to develop compensation techniques and gain autonomy.” These are not leisure activities, but learning and gaining independence. It is also the “autonomy pole” of Fait Pas Moi which caught the attention of the jury for this regional prize. A center that Quelle Pas Moi intends to perpetuate and strengthen.

Founded in December 2008 by Chantal Rubio, herself visually impaired, the Why Pas Moi association was born in response to the lack of help and support for people with this disability. The association also takes care of people suffering from dys disorders (dyslexia, dysorthography, etc.).
