An accusation of attempted murder is added to the long list of crimes accused of an incorrigible 22-year-old criminal, who allegedly shot an individual in the heart of the crowded village of Mont-Tremblant.

An altercation turned bad on the night of December 14. One of the individuals drew a handgun and shot the victim, a man in his thirties.
The latter, who was hit by several projectiles, survived.
Since then, Sûreté du Québec police officers believe they have identified the suspect. Marc-Antoine Racine, 22, was arrested and then charged with attempted murder.
The crime was committed around 1 a.m., in a pedestrian area of the village of Mont-Tremblant, near several bars.
Witnesses to the crime
Many people were nearby and even witnessed the gunshots.
Even more, the event occurred a few hours before the start of the 24h Tremblant, a sporting challenge that attracts a large crowd.
Despite his young age, Racine has already been convicted of various crimes, including obstructing the work of a peace officer, carrying a weapon for a dangerous purpose, threats, selling cannabis and car theft. For these last two crimes, he was sentenced to prison terms of eight months and one and a half years.
There are also other pending cases for which he is awaiting trial, including sexual assault.
The public prosecutor thus strongly opposed his release for the continuation of the legal proceedings, “taking into account the seriousness of the crime”, but also because he was already subject to several conditions, the prosecutor of the Crown on file, Me Steve Baribeau.
