The verdict

All eight defendants were found guilty. The two friends of the assassin of Professor Samuel Paty, Naïm Boudaoud and Azim Epsirkhanov were found guilty of complicity in assassination and sentenced Friday to 16 years of criminal imprisonment.

The two authors of the hate campaign against the professor, Brahim Chnina and Abdelhakim Sefrioui, were for their part found guilty of a terrorist criminal association (AMT) and sentenced respectively to 13 and 15 years of criminal imprisonment.

Eight accused

The highest sentence was requested for the meeting of the Russian of Chechen origin Azim Epsirkhanov, 23 years old, tried for complicity in terrorist assassination, but for whom the accusation was requested from the court to reclassify him as an association of terrorist criminals .

Aziz Epsirkhanov was one of two friends of Anzorov, assassin and killed on the day of the tragedy. With him, Naïm Boudaoud, 22 years old. They are appearing for complicity in terrorist assassination, a crime punishable by life imprisonment.
