The momentum suddenly stopped for Paris Basketball. While the Ile-de-France club has been riding to everyone’s surprise in the Euroleague since the end of October (ten successes in a row!), it first lost twice in five days (against Asvel and Real Madrid) in this queen competition. Add to that another setback in Betclic Elite, Sunday at Le Mans, but above all a mysterious epidemic which hit the Ile-de-France locker room this week…
So much so that we learned this Thursday noon that the match of the 17th day of the Euroleague against Fenerbahçe, scheduled at the Arena Porte de la Chapelle the same evening (at 8:30 p.m.) has been postponed to a later date. And this “due to an insufficient number of players available within the Parisian squad”, as communicated by Paris Basketball.
“A virus, food poisoning, I don’t know”
